Family

Sunday, August 15, 2010

"Family", what the first thing that came to your mind about this word? A happy and warm family, or is it a mess-up family that you do not feel love at all. Either of which, we shall look into God's teachings to help us to have a better relationship with our family.

Think for a moment, why today's families lack harmony?
Is it because of some small stuff, parent's dreams, high expectation, nagging parent, can't feel the love or any reason you may list. If so, are you the one who is giving all those conflict? You might think you are right but mostly we ourselves are in wrong. Proverb 11:29 says "He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise." This mean whoever give conflict will get nothing. And so if you curse your parent, you shall be put to death. Exodus 21:17, Proverb 20:20 had listed it.

To build a happy, warm & harmonious family, all come from each member of the family. Of course with the help from God's teachings, live with God's heart. Eph. 6:1-4 tell you about honoring your parent is important. Train your kids the right way so they may not turn upon you just like Prov. 22:6, 19:18, 23:25 had listed.

Lastly, if you respect your God, you must respect your parent first. If you does not respect your parent equal you does not respect God. Alright, not a family guy yet but hope everyone had a happy family where kids always want to go home.
