Parents & Children

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Most thinking from children:
Do you always had conflict with your parent?
Do you always find your parent don't understand you a single thing?
Do you always find no love in your in your family?

Most thinking from parents:
Why always you had to pick on me when i try to tell you something?
Why always you don't try to understand us parent?
Why always you don't try to love this family?

I believe most of us, children or parents, had think of these above question before. Simple conversation lead to an argument then a cold war started just because of some misunderstanding in that conversation.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Eph 6:1-4)

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
(Prov 22:6)

From these verse,

As children, you should obey your parents more, understand them. Just imagine how your parent felt if you were to listen to them rather than blaming them all the time. Spend some time with your family, and you will feel the love.

As parents, you should discipline your children when necessary but with love. Let your children know why you had to scold him, made him awake, so that there will be no next time. Treat them and thank them too. It helps^^.

Pray to God for wisdom, for your family relationship and confess the sin of bitterness.
1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
(Eph 5:1-2)
