Hey guys,
This week's video is a short and cute one :D
Here's the vid:
KAWAII NEH!!!???
Back to the serious stuff. What can we learn from this kid?
How are we alike this kid? Do we sometimes behave like this when we don't get what we want? Do we behave like this towards or parents? Or maybe towards God?
"Oh God yes I love you. But I don't like you. I like you when I get good results. I like you when I get a WII. A Kinect would be nice too. Maybe a PS3? I don't like you when you don't give me cookies."
I'm sure we can somehow relate to this kid a little. What are your cookies? Games? Friends? Results?
Sure, it is hard to be thankful when things don't go your way. Perhaps you studied for a test like MAD but still got a C6. And that bastard beside got an A1 although he didn't study. Maybe you lost a good friend, or an important person in your life. It is hard to look on the bright side and say "Hey! I'm fine." Truth is some things hurt. But this is what the Bible tells us:
I Thessalonians 5 :16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Sometimes we can't see how all the bad things could be part of God's plan. But here's the secret: You can't.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
God has plans that would work out in ways we will never be able to understand. I'm sure you know many examples. I can't pull one out cause I have bad memory, but I'm sure you know of cases where God worked in ways incomprehensible by the human mind.
So we can't see His plans clearly sometimes. What do we do? Trust His Heart~ sure you guys know that song. Quoting from the Holy Book: 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. I think this is pretty straight forward. Have faith in the Lord and hold on.
I think I digressed a little. Point is, don't dislike God because you can't get your cookies. Too much cookies are unhealthy. Small kids like us don't understand that. Just listen and know that it's for your sake. :)
