To Serve Or Be Served?

Friday, August 26, 2011

Hi to whoever is reading it, :)
Life been busy huh? Or Are you relaxing? Anyway, take a look at this post. Cheers.^_^

In continuation of the previous "SHAPE-Your Turn to Serve" which is post here. Gonna link up if possible or if you do not find relevant is okay. Haha.

Well, the famous question, To Serve or Be Served?
Which do you prefer? Feel Your Heart.
I think I can say most of you like to be served, right?
Cos you feel like a VIP/King/Whatever, & everything had been done for you. Geez. I think there are various reason like i can't leave butt out from the sits cause it stuck there. Glue-ing the eyes to the computer. Haha......
"Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."
-- Martin Luther King Jr.
So true right? The most important element to serve is love from your heart. Just like how God demonstrate His Love. How Parent Love Their Children. This is one kind of love.

Mark 10:45 (ESV) For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

John 13:4-5 (ESV) He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
Even the greatest of all who we should serve, serve us first. Aren't we guilty? So some might be thinking "Does it really consent me, i still want to be served rather to serve" So "WHY SERVE?" Serving is much of a trouble. Sometimes you even get scolded for serving. Well, I agree to it but we should learn how to be humble. Serving teaches you lots of new lesson, also can inspired others people life.
John 13:15-17 (ESV) For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
Really ask yourself, what can I serve in this world? Do you see others before yourself? Help people in need? Simple task to help? Serving required sacrificed most of the time, are you willing to give up some time to serve not only in church but also in community (Local & Overseas) ?
