A New Song: Not Guilty Anymore by Aaron Keyes

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Hey Guys,

This week's song is "Not Guilty Anymore" by Aaron Keyes. I can't really give a background of the artist because I didn't research on that. Just happened to chance upon this song and felt it was worth sharing.

I couldn't find a music video for this song, so here's just the audio.

A lot of our friends or other people always have a misconception that God would not forgive them of what they have done, not love them because of their past. But the Bible reminds us that all our sins are forgiven, no matter what we were in the past.
II Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

The songs also sings about it in its first verse:
It doesn't matter what you've done

It doesn't matter where you're coming from

Doesn't matter where you've been
Hear me tell you I forgive

It does not matter where one has been or what one has done, because all things shall be made anew. God has power to remove all sin from us.
Isaiah 1:18: “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.
That's why in the chorus and bridge the new song sings:
Chorus:
You're not guilty anymore

You're not filthy anymore

I love you mercy is yours
You're not broken anymore
You're not captive anymore
I love you mercy is yours

Bridge 2:
You are spotless You are holy

You are faultless You are whole

You are righteous You are blameless
You are pardoned You are mine

Indeed, God's grace and mercy is awesome. Couldn't find another word. Just like the Song sings:
Verse 2:
Can you believe that this is true

Grace abundant I am giving you

Cleansing deeper than you know
All was paid for long ago

It's worthy to reflect on ourselves; Do we sometimes feel unworthy, and use it as an excuse to avoid God? You are not guilty anymore.
